As a Risk Management Consultant, you will provide underwriting and related services for accounts, maintaining underwriting quality, proper rating classifications, and targeted loss ratios for risks associated with liability, property, and/or workers' compensation coverage(s).
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical advice and assistance to colleagues and clients regarding coverage interpretations, policy and endorsement provisions, and underwriting acceptability.
- Acting as a liaison with other departments and partners, including claims, loss control, and accounting departments, as well as external contacts, including reinsurers, marketers, and members.
- Participating in and leading key projects that impact underwriting and other related departments.
- Maintaining and updating underwriting guideline & policy manuals for self-insured pools.
- Performing field activities, such as attending client board meetings and marketing/sales meetings, and traveling as required.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and/or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations preferred.
- Ability to lead projects and team initiatives.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office and other system products.
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
