Senior Roadway Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our team in Columbia, SC. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing roadway design projects with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and local clients, including cities, counties, and community improvement districts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Assist in strategic planning, identify opportunities, and team with partners to execute a pursuit management process and win key pursuits through hands-on involvement in the South Carolina market.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key transportation clients, including SCDOT, cities, counties, and CIDs.
  • Project Management: Manage roadway design projects, including coordination with design teams, subconsultants, vendors, and other project partners to keep projects on schedule and budget.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit and hire key transportation staff, provide input into employee performance reviews, compensation, and bonus processes, and encourage project collaboration and workload coordination.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • South Carolina PE registration

This is a full-time position that will primarily work in an office setting, with some field work and out-of-office meetings/travel.
