Job Summary:

The Wound and Ostomy Certified Nurse plays a vital role in providing comprehensive care to inpatient and outpatient patients with complex and chronic wounds. This position requires a strong foundation in wound assessment, treatment, and prevention, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients with wounds and ostomies to develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound and ostomy care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 Years of Experience in Wound and Ostomy Care.
  • Current California RN License.
  • National Certification in Wound, Ostomy, Continence (CWOCN) or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 Years of Experience in Wound and Ostomy Care.
