Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies, ensuring the hospital maintains readiness for inspections and audits.
  • Act as the primary resource for regulatory standards, staying updated on any changes or new requirements.
  • Lead the Quality Management System (QMS) Audit Program, ensuring that auditors are well-trained and that audit logs are meticulously maintained.
  • Coordinate mock surveys and participate in patient tracers to prepare for regulatory assessments.
  • Gather and manage data required for accreditation and regulatory bodies, providing support for software used in compliance documentation.
  • Develop and implement training programs for leadership and staff regarding accreditation standards and compliance readiness.
  • Ensure that corrective action plans effectively address identified issues and that responses to regulatory requests are timely.
  • Prepare and present reports on regulatory compliance metrics, maintaining a dashboard of key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate the organization of all survey visits, both announced and unannounced.
  • Establish a systematic approach for reviewing and updating hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in healthcare, including at least 3 years in a regulatory role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and their application.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and respond effectively to regulatory inquiries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Proficient in operating necessary office equipment.
