Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) is a leading organization in healthcare data analysis, measure development, and survey research. We are seeking a talented Analyst I to join our Data Science & Advanced Analytics division. As a key contributor to our team, you will support innovative analytic plans that provide healthcare decision and policy makers with the necessary information to transform healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst I position involves designing and executing a wide array of analytic studies, working with various data types, including survey, case review, medical and prescription drug claims and encounters, eligibility, demographic, clinical, electronic health record, registry, vital statistics, and operational data. You will also be responsible for evaluating data, conducting and interpreting analyses, developing statistical models, manipulating complex databases, and tracking and evaluating patterns of care and outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as math, statistics, economics, or epidemiology. A Master's degree is preferred. You should also have coursework completed in statistics and other quantitative courses, knowledge of statistical programming in at least one software language, experience working with relational databases, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with multiple teams.
