Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams & Co., P.A. is a regional accounting and consulting firm with a rich history of 70 years. We are seeking a highly skilled CPA Tax Professional to join our team in one of our offices in Wilmington, Whiteville, Elizabethtown, Cary, Shallotte, Goldsboro, or Cleveland, TN.

As a CPA Tax Professional, you will be responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns, serving monthly write-up accounts, and preparing audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements. You will also be responsible for analyzing, documenting, compiling, simplifying, and communicating data to small business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare income tax returns from clients' accounting records.
• Prepare year-end financial statements (GAAP or tax basis).
• Prepare payrolls, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns.
• Review GL account reconciliations prepared by bookkeeping staff.
• Review/pay accounts payable prepared by bookkeeping staff.
• Assist in financial and compliance audits.

Requirements:

• CPA certification.
• 2 years of tax experience (preferred).
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
