Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Eligibility Specialist III to join our team at Forsyth County, NC. As a key member of our Social Services department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring Income Maintenance Workers in the Income Support Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and mentor Income Maintenance Case workers on county policy and procedures
  • Assist employees and customers with inquiries, copies, and checking agency mail
  • Cover a caseload, process cases, or provide assistance regarding Food and Nutrition Recertification Services or Applications programs
  • Monitor and manage the assigned Team in Food & Nutrition Services Recertifications or Applications in the absence of the Supervisor
Requirements
  • Associate degree and two (2) years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or closely related experience
  • Knowledge of NCFAST is preferred
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute (or faster) is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Experience working for a public sector Social Services department
  • Experience training and mentoring new employees
