This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Global team in Citigroup Inc.'s Services Controls organization. The controls organization is part of Services 1st line of defense and covers both Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) and Securities Services (SS). This role will support the Global Commercial Cards business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assessment and standardized reporting of Global Commercial Cards Risk and Control Environment.
- Supervise the Issue Management and Resolution Process for Commercial Cards at Global level, ensuring the identification of issue root cause and recommending holistic corrective actions and improvements.
- Provide Strategic Risk advice to business management when decisions are made, participating in the design of remediation strategies to address complex issues.
- Support Global and Regional Commercial Cards teams with Internal and external reviews.
- Ensure compliance with the Escalations Policy and all related tracking and management processes for Commercial Cards.
- Work with the Global MCA lead to make the necessary changes to the Global framework to reflect the new business organization.
- Be responsible for risk and control assessments or coordination for programs within various risk stripes, ensuring sufficient subject matter expertise exists to enable management of these risks within the Business.
- Assess, with management, the risks associated with New Activities and changes to the Business, ensuring these are well understood and adequately controlled.
- Take ownership to ensure that risk and control responsibilities and accountabilities are embedded within business, including providing training and leading by example.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance or other related functions.
- Risk/Control and second line and/or audit background is preferred.
- Strong experience in a related role with experience in credit cards business with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of senior management and self-confidence to drive decisions across the various partner.
- Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.
- Ability to work effectively and drive results with a virtual global team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Education
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
