Job Title: End User Support Specialist

At Anoka County, we are seeking a highly skilled End User Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our employees.

Job Summary:

The End User Support Specialist will evaluate, research, implement, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and connected systems for Anoka County. This position requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and network system administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and services to employees
  • Evaluate, research, implement, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and connected systems
  • Apply understanding of computer software and hardware products and services to resolve problems
  • Escalate complex problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution
  • Utilize product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions
  • Install or upgrade software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords
  • Ensure systems and workstations are compliant with organizational policies and security standards
  • Draft and maintain documentation related to systems or workstations
  • Deploy new user workstations or accounts
  • Provide end user training
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of job-related experience
  • Experience in computer hardware, software, and network system administration
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to provide individual or small group instruction and training in the use of computer products
Work Environment:

This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
