Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your expertise will be essential in preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring they are properly positioned and draped
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following proper aseptic technique
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
