Job ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate will assist the delivery driver in safely delivering and installing furniture to customer homes or businesses. Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading furniture from the truck, ensuring proper securing for transport.
- Performing routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
- Planning efficient routes to minimize travel time and reduce fuel consumption.
- Maintaining accurate driving logs and records of work hours, rest periods, and fuel expenses.
Qualifications & RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), and excellent customer service skills. Additionally, you should have familiarity with GPS systems, CB radios, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology, as well as a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening. A basic knowledge of furniture assembly and installation is also preferred.
