Claims Production Supervisor

The Claims Production Supervisor is responsible for the management and operation of the Claims Analyst staff, ensuring the efficient processing of claims and maintaining high-quality results. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and direct the workload of staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting productivity standards.
- Develop and maintain employee developmental plans, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
- Establish and maintain employee performance goals and minimum performance standards for both production and quality.
- Analyze department production/quality figures, evaluating results and communicating with staff to encourage growth and development.
- Identify improvements to systems and processes, implementing changes to enhance performance and quality.
- Communicate with other members of the Claims supervisory team to plan and direct workflow throughout the Claims Department.
- One year of experience in a lead, quality, or supervisory role, preferably in insurance claims processing.
- High school graduate or equivalent; a college degree or college coursework is preferred.
- Demonstrated decision-making abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak English fluently and read, comprehend, follow, and give written or verbal English instructions.
- Excellent telephone communication skills and ability to compose proper business correspondence.
The Claims Production Supervisor will spend approximately 90% of their time standing or sitting, attending meetings, and reviewing files. Walking will account for 10% of their time, and lifting/carrying will be minimal (less than 1% of the time).
