TRS Staffing Solutions is looking for an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to enhance our client's operations in the manufacturing sector.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement process enhancements, and oversee the expansion or replacement of control systems.

Install and configure electronic control devices, including Variable Frequency Drives, temperature controllers, and various sensors (such as photo sensors, distance sensors, and encoders).

Analyze and modify PLC programs to achieve optimal performance, with proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs using RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, and Siemens S7 with TIA Portal.

Develop and program HMIs, including those from Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Direct Automation.

Interpret blueprints and specifications while utilizing hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment.

Diagnose and repair faulty components within control systems, leveraging programming and troubleshooting expertise in control software.

Reconfigure parameters in CNC control systems to restore production functionality, ensuring minimal downtime.

Program and teach positions for robots, preferably Fanuc, to maintain efficient automation cell operations.

Conduct tests on malfunctioning machinery using diagnostic equipment and collaborate with maintenance personnel to identify and resolve issues.

Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders, time entry, and parts procurement.


Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate's or Technical Degree coupled with over 10 years of experience in robot programming, PLC programming, and HMI programming, particularly within the automotive industry.

Extensive knowledge of ABB PLC programming software, Siemens TIA Portal, Fanuc robot programming software, and CNC Controllers (Fanuc and Siemens).

Support compliance initiatives related to ISO and OSHA standards.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including irregular hours and emergency call-ins as necessary.

Eligibility to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
