Job Title: Regional Registered Dietitian

NHS Management Services is seeking a highly skilled Regional Registered Dietitian to join our team of caring professionals.

About the Role:

We are committed to providing quality care to our residents in long-term care facilities across Alabama, Florida, Missouri, and Arkansas. As a Regional Registered Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards of nutritional care and food service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and continued nutritional assessments of individuals with appropriate documentation.
  • Assist in updating resident nutritional care plans regularly and document appropriately.
  • Provide recommendations for the nutritional health care plan of each resident.
  • Provide nutritional counseling with residents and/or family and significant others as needed.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to integrate specific goals and approaches into the total healthcare plan.
  • Provide individual counseling regarding food choices and intake to meet optimal nutritional needs as needed.
  • Provide each assigned facility with approved menus that meet the nutritional needs of each facility's population.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and licensed by the respective state in which one practices.
  • Must have a minimum of one year post-graduate work experience, preferably in long-term care.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a desire to work with convalescent, geriatric, or psychiatric residents.
  • Must be able to travel freely between assigned areas, which may include overnight visits.
  • Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
