Job Description

Welcome to NewPath Child & Family Solutions, where we empower youth to achieve their full potential. As a Life Skills Specialist, you will play a vital role in teaching independent living skills to our clients, assisting them in achieving their goals, and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and time management, to our clients.
  • Assist clients in achieving their stated objectives and maximizing their independence and productivity.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive services plans, transition plans, and follow-up plans to ensure client success.
  • Supervise all activities of the independent living center during assigned shifts.
  • Participate in apartment tours and oversee the maintenance of the facility.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree or college coursework in a human services-related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working in the Mental Health/Social Services field.
  • Must have a working knowledge of behavioral interventions.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance with no DUI/OVI violations and no more than 5 points on your MVR.
  • A clean criminal background check.
