Position Overview

The Assistant Patient Care Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Patient Care Manager in the clinical oversight and administrative coordination of designated patient care units or services. This position is essential in promoting the unit's objectives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Assist in managing the daily operations of the assigned unit(s), ensuring adherence to established standards of practice and hospital protocols.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, facilitating their professional development and performance evaluations.
  • Administrative Coordination: Collaborate with the Patient Care Manager in executing administrative functions and assume their responsibilities in their absence.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor patient care processes and outcomes, ensuring that care delivery aligns with organizational goals and standards.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate orientation and ongoing training for staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Policy Implementation: Communicate and enforce organizational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among staff.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Experience: A minimum of two years in a related nursing role with increasing responsibilities.
