Medical Physicist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced clinical medical physicist to join our radiation oncology team at Palo Verde Cancer Specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in our clinics, overseeing the scientific and technical aspects of all procedures, and collaborating with other staff members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control tests based on AAPM and industry standards
  • Review treatment plans and provide feedback
  • Participate in radiation safety measures and implement new technology and equipment
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations
Requirements:
  • Board Certification or Board eligibility by the American Board of Radiology, or equivalent
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Medical Physics or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in radiation oncology physics
  • Familiarity with Varian and Accuray products
  • Proficient in radiation physics, dosimetry, and equipment operation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Stereotactic and HDR planning experience
Salary:

$170k-250k
