Radiation Oncology Physicist

About the Role:
Palo Verde Cancer Specialists is seeking an experienced clinical medical physicist to join our growing radiation oncology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in our clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the scientific and technical aspects of all procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Perform quality control tests based on AAPM and industry standards.
- Review treatment plans and participate in radiation safety measures.
- Assist in the implementation of new technology and equipment.
Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board eligibility by the American Board of Radiology, or equivalent.
- Master's Degree, or PhD, in Medical Physics or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in radiation oncology physics.
- Familiarity with Varian and Accuray products is desirable.
- Proficient in radiation physics, dosimetry, and the operation of various types of equipment used in a radiation oncology clinic.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve for general clinical issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Stereotactic and HDR planning experience.
Compensation:
$170k-250k salary range.
