Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Acoustic Analyst to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing and analyzing submarine sensor data to establish sensor health. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sonar Technician Submarines (STS) to apply their Navy experience and continue supporting the deploying submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, analyze, and report on USN submarine acoustic sensor data to establish sensor health.
  • Perform numerical analysis of new sensor data for research purposes.
  • Collaborate with USN, government, and Peraton engineers to diagnose sensor and data issues in recorded acoustic data.
Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a High School diploma and at least seven years experience as a submarine sonar technician (STS) or a BS degree and at least three years experience some of which includes experience as an STS.
  • Experience performing platform noise analysis.
  • Experience with BQQ-10 sonar.
  • Experience with BQH-9 recorder, Alpha/Bravo trials, and Sonar Calibration trials a plus.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Verbal and written communications skills for working in a team environment a must.
  • Prefer background as a SSN sonar technician.
  • Requires minimum DoD SECRET Clearance.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
