This role is pivotal in overseeing the operational excellence of a gas processing and distribution facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility for the daily operations, ensuring the safety of personnel, the integrity of capital assets, and environmental compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement comprehensive operational strategies that align with safety and business goals.
  • Foster collaboration across various departments and business units to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage with senior leadership on complex operational challenges and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute plans aimed at optimizing productivity and operational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Manage both fixed and variable cost objectives for the plant.
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma methodologies and spearhead cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; an Engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in production management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to coach and develop teams.
  • A hands-on management approach with critical thinking capabilities and a strong connection to front-line operations.
  • Experience in quality management within a process control and continuous improvement framework, ideally with ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of PSM, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout procedures is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reliability and continuous improvement practices.
  • Proficient in Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to executing strategic initiatives.
  • Effective leadership, team-building, and decision-making abilities.
  • Robust planning and organizational skills.
