Position Overview:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in enhancing the unit's performance regarding quality metrics, patient safety, and satisfaction indicators for both patients and staff. Through daily engagement and continuous mentoring of nursing staff, the supervisor aids in prioritizing and focusing on these essential elements.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification from an accredited facility or completion of requirements within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of all orientation programs.
  • Compliance with the Department Specific Equipment Competency Checklist.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a proven track record of meeting objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and information systems.
  • Active involvement in relevant local, state, and national organizations.

Required Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Telemetry
  • Intravenous Therapy

Work Schedule:

  • Night Shift, 36 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, with some weekend and holiday rotations.
  • Full-Time position.

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor serves as a leader, mentor, and consultant to the healthcare team, employing both analytical and creative strategies to manage complex patient care. This role acts as a clinical resource for nursing and ancillary staff, promoting an environment that values knowledge, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As part of the extended team, the supervisor encourages patient and family health education, focusing on self-management, prevention, and wellness aligned with patient goals.

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor refines data systems to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement, ensuring compliance with Core Measures and The Joint Commission standards.
