Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily physician management and treatment of patients at the Clinic/Practice.
  • Deliver clinical services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and referral.
  • Participate in the establishment of office policies, procedures, and medical protocol necessary to provide physician clinic services.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists as needed.
  • Comply with Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) policies, procedures, and pricing.
  • Utilize the EPIC computer system for charting and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Comply with case management protocols and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Administration to ensure that the program operates in accordance with medical policy and professional standards.
  • Participate in community events and public relations activities as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, payers, and pharmacies.
  • Perform physical exams, including routine examinations, DOT examinations, and other specialized exams as required.
  • May serve as Medical Review Officer (MRO) for drug screens and Director for on-site Laboratory services.
Requirements
  • Current valid and unrestricted license to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Current valid and unrestricted DEA registration number.
  • Eligibility for professional liability insurance.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in an appropriate specialty.
  • BCLS certification.
