To assess, diagnose, and treat patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders. As a Clinical Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' audiologic function, interpret findings, and review test results with patients or responsible adults.
  • Document patients' case history, test results, and recommendations for follow-up in the medical record and report results and recommendations to referring physicians and/or primary care physicians.
  • Counsel patients about treatment options for hearing loss and refer patients to the ear, nose, and throat department for consultation when appropriate.
  • Educate patients about hearing conservation and vestibular rehabilitation exercises.
  • Perform and interpret electro physiologic and special tests of the peripheral and central auditory system.
  • Evaluate hearing status in infants and young children with an appropriate comprehensive battery of tests.
  • Counsel patients regarding hearing aid device options and evaluate patients' hearing aids when appropriate.
  • Additional specialized duties may include programming and fitting implantable devices, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and advanced vestibular assessment.
Requirements:
  • Au.D. degree or equivalent experience and education.
  • Current employees: Masters degree and a minimum of four years of experience in audiology required, or an Au.D.
  • New hires: Au.D. degree.
  • Credentials from multiple states required, including National Provider Identifier and Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience in vestibular testing, behavioral pediatric assessment, or Auditory Evoked Potential testing.
