Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to enhance our Land Development Group.
Role Summary
The Civil Project Engineer II/III is a professional engineer with a minimum of two years of experience. The successful candidate will engage in site development engineering and project management for a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Proficiency in site civil design, permitting processes, and relevant software applications, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, is essential. The projects will encompass diverse land development site designs.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the ideal candidate include, but are not limited to:
1. Design segments of projects utilizing appropriate office software, modeling techniques, and Civil 3D technology.
2. Execute calculations employing engineering principles and skills, or leverage computer systems to address challenges.
3. Generate specifications for materials through research and manufacturing catalogs to outline materials, installation procedures, inspection protocols, and payment processes specific to projects.
4. Finalize design details and prepare comprehensive plan sets.
5. Conduct research and compile objective summary reports that contribute to project completion or inspection.
6. Assist in the formulation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
7. Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed by senior engineering personnel.
8. Facilitate communication with client representatives and internal design teams as instructed by senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ideally, two to six years of experience in land development civil engineering; EIT certification is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D is required.
