Job Overview:
A Lab Engineer is required for a prominent technology organization specializing in software and electronic devices. This role involves leading signal integrity assessments and hardware assembly within a cloud computing laboratory, focusing on Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) evaluations.

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) assessments on testing and validation boards to ensure interconnect performance.
  • Assemble systems or testing setups as required for accurate measurements.
  • Integrate measurement instruments into devices and boards to facilitate high-precision data collection.
  • Perform soldering tasks as necessary to prepare boards for testing.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Oscilloscope measurements.
  • Expertise in VNA testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of data center hardware, including components and assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and board layouts for measurement purposes.
  • Capability to analyze s-parameter data using tools such as PLTS or IdEM.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Signal Integrity simulation software (e.g., HSpice, ADS).
  • Skilled in data analysis utilizing tools like JMP, Matlab, or Excel.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Ansys HFSS.
Experience Requirements: 8-10 years in the field, with a focus on VNA testing, hardware, and data centers.

Education: Technical degree in electronics is advantageous but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Extensive experience in executing VNA assessments on testing and validation boards.
  • Background in data center operations and hardware.
  • Competent in assembling and soldering electronic components.
