Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle title processing and a passion for research and customer service.
Responsibilities- Process new and used vehicle registrations in the state of title.
- Prepare tax and title documents.
- Submit legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Verify funds collected and correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.
- Check application accuracy and ensure all information is complete.
- Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
- Process out-of-state titles and registrations.
- Compile and maintain a list of outstanding title work and report to management on status.
- Process yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with controller.
- Process trade documents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate log of titles coming in.
- Process dealer trades and wholesale transactions.
- Post vehicle transactions to accounting for all sales.
- Reconcile schedules and accounts.
- Report sales and apply for rebates.
- Prepare daily report of contracts and vehicle receivables due.
- Process after-sale warranties and related documents for month-end.
- Maintain strict compliance with all titling laws and filing requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve title-related issues, including odometer discrepancies and power of attorney.
