Senior Benefits Specialist Role Summary
A highly skilled Senior Benefits Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing employee benefit programs. This involves analyzing existing programs, researching new benefits, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, analytical skills, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop new benefit programs to meet employee needs
  • Collaborate with external vendors and brokers to understand local benefits practices and legal requirements
  • Manage benefit systems and technology to ensure smooth program administration
  • Evaluate existing programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and management on benefit policies and provisions
  • Develop and monitor the benefits budget, ensuring accurate estimates and forecasts
  • Ensure programs comply with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Experience managing and negotiating with benefits vendors and brokers is a plus
  • CEBS Professional Certificate is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and informed recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on employee education
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software
