Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at EmergeOrtho. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services in an orthopedic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, including reason for visit and pertinent information related to treatment prior to physician exam.
  • Position radiographic equipment at correct angle and height over appropriate area of patient's body.
  • Adjust controls on x-ray machine to produce radiographs of appropriate density, detail, and contrast of body part.
  • Perform all diagnostic x-rays as indicated by physician and APP.
  • Prepare medical record information, including x-ray films for physician review before physician exam.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Perform patient education when appropriate, including oral and written education related to diagnosis, procedures, and/or medications.
  • Replenish supplies, clean exam room after each patient per infection control guidelines, and stock exam room at end of each day.
  • Communicate supply shortages as well as other clinical needs to Clinical Manager or designee.
  • Ensure that laboratory and other diagnostic test results are obtained and communicated to physicians to ensure appropriate and timely physician intervention.
  • Ensure all documentation and charges associated with studies accurately reflect patient encounter and plan of care.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic technologist training program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration.
  • Licensure and/or certification as required by the State of North Carolina.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform procedures, including body mechanics and patient movement.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and contraindications for patients and all visitors within the facility.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
Working Conditions

This position will rotate between our Weaverville and Asheville offices.
