Job Description

The Supply Technician will be responsible for monitoring stock, inventory, and ordering supplies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.

  • Implement inventory control procedures, including organizing storage areas, labeling items, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Plan, organize, and provide quality control inspections for all assigned utilities, facilities, and areas.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to inventory control, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings.
  • Perform quality control checks on goods, storage areas, and shipments to ensure they are restocked, packed, and shipped correctly.
  • Generate reports on inventory, purchasing, and accounting activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline supply chain operations.
  • Organize all work assigned and complete accurately and on-time all work tickets and required paperwork.
  • Maintain a quality-compliant workplace.
  • Present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers, co-workers, and supervision.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, employees, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety Requirements
  • Comply with and actively participate in the GCR Occupational Safety & Health Program.
  • Perform all assigned work safely and reasonably to avoid preventable injury and preventable property/equipment damage to you, co-workers, customers, the Company, and/or the public.
  • Safely perform functions of the position, including proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required.
  • Through leadership and personal example, exemplify a personal commitment to and support of the Company/Project Safety Culture.
  • Monitor subordinate safety compliance, ensuring safety is an integral part of all work activities.
  • Take appropriate corrective action (stop-work, remedial training, disciplinary action, etc.) when subordinates fail to comply with established OSH policies & procedures to prevent recurrence.
  • Immediately report all occupational injuries, unsafe conditions, and/or property damage.
  • Use and enforce the wearing of personal protective equipment.
  • Always wear a seatbelt while operating/riding in a company vehicle, or a privately owned vehicle while performing work activities or acting as an agent of the Company.
  • Never talk on the phone without a hand-free option or text message while operating in a company vehicle or a privately owned vehicle while performing work activities or acting as an agent of the Company.
  • Not be unfit for work due to the presence, ingestion, consumption, or inhalation of illegal drugs, prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs, and/or alcohol.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access.
  • Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, and process improvement.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of recent experience within the past five years in a supply/warehouse setting.
Preferred
  • Prior experience working on government contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • OSHA 10.
