Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of outgoing orders. This position requires effective communication, teamwork, and attention to detail to ship products in a thorough, accurate, and rapid-response manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate address and required shipment paperwork
  • Complete shipping reports and ensure all documentation is in order and entered into the appropriate tracking system
  • Efficiently communicate shortage notices and order revisions to involved parties
  • Track and comply with special shipping requirements for orders
  • Manage CHEP account(s) as assigned
  • Assist in troubleshooting of the JD Edwards system
  • Order supplies, including templates, from vendors and track inventory stock
  • Attend staff and department meetings
  • Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste, and improve factory efficiencies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some warehouse or shipping experience desired
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, percentages, fractions, and decimals
  • Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented nature
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
Work Environment

The distribution center floor is a busy facility. The Shipping Coordinator will have exposure to a moderate level of constant noise that may make it difficult to concentrate. The plant conditions vary greatly in temperatures from hot and cold with exposure to dust and fumes. The Shipping Coordinator will need to be able to work with food-grade chemicals required for proper daily sanitation of all equipment.
