Position Summary

The role involves ensuring the effective and economical upkeep and preventive maintenance of all machinery, facilities, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on all operational equipment.
  • Install machinery, piping, and structural components across multiple facilities.
  • Identify and procure replacement parts and equipment as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels in the stockroom.
  • Follow directives accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Comply with all corporate and facility policies and procedures.
  • Commit to Responsible Care in all daily activities.
  • Lead maintenance work crews or collaborate with others as required.
  • Interpret instrumentation readings to manage processes effectively.
  • Diagnose issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Self-manage tasks and complete them safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Completion of four technical trade courses (Apprentice Program).
  • Must meet specified physical requirements for the role.
  • Electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and minor repairs for 480V MCC buckets.
  • Experience in welding.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team settings.
  • Good decision-making abilities, willing to stand by decisions amidst peer pressure.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, including attendance and attitude.
  • Understanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, etc.
  • Capability to pass forklift certification training.
  • Must successfully complete PQ Maintenance Mechanic written and skills assessments.
  • Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this position.
EHS Responsibilities
  • Promote and exemplify safety and health as the top priority.
  • Participate in risk assessment audits as required.
  • Understand and implement PQ Principles (PQP) within the site organization.
  • Complete all HSE training requirements in a timely manner.
