Position Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring the effective and economical upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of all machinery, structures, and facilities.

Key Duties

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on all operational equipment.
  • Install machinery, piping, structural components, etc., across multiple facilities.
  • Identify and procure replacement parts and necessary equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels in the stockroom.
  • Follow directives with precision and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Understand and comply with all corporate and plant policies.
  • Commit to Responsible Care in all daily tasks.
  • Lead maintenance teams or collaborate with others as required.
  • Interpret instrumentation readings to manage processes effectively.
  • Diagnose issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
  • Self-manage tasks and complete them safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Completion of four technical trade courses (apprenticeship program).
  • Physical capabilities as specified for this role.
  • Electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and minor repairs of 480V MCC buckets.
  • Experience in welding.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to defend choices under peer pressure.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, including attendance and attitude.
  • Understanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, etc.
  • Must be able to pass forklift certification training.
  • Successful completion of PQ Maintenance Mechanic written and skills assessments.
  • Must meet the specified physical capabilities for this position.
EHS Responsibilities
  • Promote and exemplify safety and health as the top priority.
  • Participate in risk assessment audits as necessary.
  • Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and their implementation within the organization.
  • Complete required HSE training in a timely manner.
