Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Anchor Point Technology Resources. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed logical data designs and metadata content.
  • Create and populate metadata and plans, and participate in unit testing for data validation.
  • Evaluate test results for fulfillment of all data requirements.
  • Develop conceptual or general designs, including logical design of databases, access methods, metadata presentation, etc.
  • Detail all aspects of functional designs, including record layouts, pseudo-code, detailed data mapping, etc.
  • Productionalize data-related project components and institute all required changes.
  • Provide ongoing support of business, including ongoing data analysis, data quality testing, enhancement of metadata, etc.
  • Provide user management and DBMS security support.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of production, test, and development databases.
  • Bring a solid understanding of database administration.
  • Support development teams from a database design and development perspective.
  • Responsible for database administration or engineering activities, ensuring optimal performance on PostgreSQL environments.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of PostgreSQL architecture.
  • Perform performance tuning of queries.
  • Provide support to application developers, including data refresh, SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, and best practice recommendations.
  • Conduct code reviews with application developers.
  • Ensure the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall database systems planning of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience as a DBA/developer for complex and high-volume data warehouse projects.
  • AWS certification.
  • Strong PL/PGSQL or PL/SQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning, and production support in a high-volume, customer-facing apps/environment.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum programs with multi-disciplinary development teams.
  • Experience with health IT systems, Gentran, and Direct Connect.
  • Experience with healthcare data, specifically Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.
