Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Instructor, BAT Artificial Intelligence to join our team at Houston Community College (HCC). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Artificial Intelligence, developing and implementing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and development of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in the field of Artificial Intelligence, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Artificial Intelligence courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and HCC's academic goals.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our programs, including curriculum development, program assessment, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Artificial Intelligence education.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a STEM-related field, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related science major.
  • 3 years of industrial experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, AI/ML, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Applications Development, Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, System Support, Databases/Fulfillment, Storage, Electrical Systems, Software Design/Development, Programming, or Robotics.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with real-world experience in virtual systems, operating systems, assembly language, programming languages (C++, Python, R, Java, Objective-C, Azure, and/or Swift), cloud computing, reverse engineering, computer networks, information security, digital forensics, risk analysis & mitigation, or policy development.
  • AWS and Google AI industry credentials are preferred.
