Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cutting Specialist to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain cutting equipment, including machine guards and blades
  • Feed raw material into the cutter, monitoring for foreign objects and ensuring proper cutting performance
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, including changing blades and using specialized PPE
  • Complete cut room paperwork and assist with daily sanitation and cleaning tasks
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including removing waste materials and ensuring floor safety
Requirements
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and push 600 lbs tubs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Basic knowledge of cutting equipment and safety procedures

  • Competitive hourly rate of $20.45/hour
  • Shift differential of $1.00/hour for 2nd shift positions
