Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Community Living Centers, Inc. Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will be responsible for providing support with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, laundry, and light household chores.

You will also be responsible for encouraging residents to engage in recreational and educational activities, such as games, reading, and outdoor activities. Additionally, you will participate in medical appointments and provide transportation as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license. You must also be able to communicate effectively and professionally, and pass a background check.

We offer a competitive salary of $17.60 per hour and require the following training: Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR/First Aid, and Recipient Rights.

Locations include Farmington, Farmington Hills, Southfield, Royal Oak, and Novi.

Essential Functions:

  • Meal preparation and laundry
  • Activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.)
  • Keeping consumers safe and monitoring health and safety
  • Completing documentation requirements (progress notes, data logs, timesheets, etc.)
  • Encouraging consumers to engage in recreational and educational activities
  • Participation and assistance at medical appointments
  • Transportation ability
  • Knowledge of Culture of Gentleness/Gentle Teaching

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Pass a background check

Compensation:
