Position Overview:
The role offers a competitive pay rate of $16 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily upkeep of public restroom facilities, which includes cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, and floors (mopping and sweeping), as well as maintaining the cleanliness of surrounding areas.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning up rooms for meetings and special events.
  • Support grounds maintenance tasks as required.
  • Provide assistance to visitors by offering directions to exhibits and responding to inquiries, including aiding in emergency situations.
  • Contribute to the success of special events such as Wildlights and Zoofari.
  • Ensure the safety of oneself, colleagues, animals, and guests through regular safety training, adherence to standard operating procedures, and proper equipment handling.
  • Collaborate with other facilities personnel when necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Be aware that the posted schedule may change based on operational requirements, including weather conditions and guest attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • New-hire TB testing is mandatory.
  • Ability to organize and plan work efficiently and independently is essential.
  • Must be capable of working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with all team members is crucial.
  • Must adhere to standard operating procedures, particularly safety protocols.
  • Excellent guest service skills are necessary, including positive interactions with guests and upholding service standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Availability on weekends and holidays is essential.
