Position Overview:
The Substation Engineering Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing client relationships within the designated region. This position involves leading and mentoring a team of engineering professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining a utilization rate of 65% or higher.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage complex engineering projects and lead project teams under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.
2. Actively engage in utility client projects, serving as a project manager or senior technical support.
3. Oversee the workload of direct reports to help them achieve their performance goals.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with electric utility clients, supporting business development initiatives.
5. Lead a team in providing substation design services that adhere to industry standards.
6. Direct and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality control and technical review.


Qualifications:
1. An Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in substation design, operations, or project management.
3. Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing projects.
4. Strong knowledge of power system planning, protection, design, and operations.
