Job Overview

ITAC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects in industries such as power generation, utilities, chemicals, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Perform the layout, analysis, and design of the electrical engineering scope of work for industrial projects.
  • Design and develop electrical documentation, including electrical equipment specifications, electrical plan drawings, electrical schematics, and design calculations.
  • Work with and understand core design basis documentation, including P&IDs, general arrangements, equipment lists, and other relevant documents.
  • Develop specifications and design for motor control centers, switchgear, and variable frequency drives.
  • Lead a small staff of designers and possibly junior engineers.
  • Perform quality checking procedures on electrical engineering work performed by others.
  • Resolve technical design conflicts and ensure that electrical systems meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or equivalent working knowledge/experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ETAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
