Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Crane Operator local to the Athens, GA area to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks of all cranes, making minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain crane services as required.
  • Inspect and maintain crane rigging and hardware.
  • Operate large rigging forklifts as needed to install equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments.
  • Apply intermediate mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
  • Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, calipers, and plumb bobs.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience with related equipment.
  • NCCCO certification for mobile crane operator.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including times of inclement weather.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  • Must be highly safety conscious and have the ability to see and escape from dangerous situations.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.
