Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support to residents with varying physical challenges, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Administer medication as needed, after becoming certified to do so.
  • Participate in active programs, understanding and addressing psychological complexities with patience and empathy.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a therapeutic environment, using Personal Outcome Measures, Person-Centered Thinking, and Informed Decision Making.
  • Document progress and ensure compliance with regulations and billing requirements.
  • Transport and escort individuals on recreational activities, medical appointments, and home visits.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Work or life experience in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field is a plus.
  • Ability to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid Driver's License may be required depending on the position.
  • Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions.
