Position Overview

COVID vaccinations encouraged, but not mandatory.

The Cardiac Catheterization Unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations. Our team operates around the clock to ensure readiness for any emergency procedures, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Care is delivered through a collaborative approach involving specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses, registered radiology technologists, and cardiovascular technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position and secure patients on the examination table according to established protocols.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient hemodynamics.
  • Administer conscious sedation as required.
  • Prepare and manage IV/IC infusions and bolus medications.
  • Notify the physician of any changes in patient conditions.
  • Assist the physician during interventional procedures.
  • Guide the patient through recovery to Phase I.

Important Notes:

  • Requested time off during this assignment must be documented and verified at the time of upload. Requests made after upload will not be accepted. A maximum of 5 days of requested time off is permitted.
  • The permanent address must be included in the profile and should match the Driver License/State ID. This will be validated during the compliance process.
  • Travelers from specific counties in New York will not be considered for travel assignments.
Submission Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a Cath Lab setting - Required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures - Required.
  • Moderate Sedation Certification - Highly Preferred.
  • Experience with Cath and peripheral procedures, including STEMI and STEMI call - Required.
  • Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings - Required.
  • Experience in conscious sedation - Required.
  • IV experience - Required.
  • Electrophysiology experience - Highly Preferred.
  • Traveler must possess their own vehicle.
