Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Power Converter Systems Design Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced power converter systems for complex digital and RF systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop switched-mode power converter circuits to meet specific performance criteria and physical constraints.
  • Use CAE tools such as Simplis, Siemens EDA Xpedition, and PADS for simulation and modeling.
  • Characterize power converter circuit performance in the lab and set up and operate specialized power converter lab bench setups.
  • Contribute to the analysis and definition of electrical requirements, power management, converter performance, components, and interfaces.
  • Lead root cause analysis of complex electrical issues and formulate solutions to technical issues.
  • Research and design new technologies applicable to space payloads.
  • Evaluate vendor capability and oversee subcontracted engineering, fabrication, assembly, and test.
  • Generate power module test procedures and contribute to technical reviews of peer work.
Requirements
  • Hands-on expertise in three or more of the following areas: simulation and modeling, product development for performance-oriented applications, complex digital radio systems, space payload electronics, or graduate degree in electrical engineering with specific learning in switched-mode power converter circuit design.
  • TS/SCI Secret security clearance within 24 months of hire.
  • Awareness of how engineering contributes to business objectives.
  • Proactive teammate with ability to carry multiple projects at any one time.
