Job Summary

Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, California is seeking a qualified and dedicated Recreational Therapist to join their team. This is an individual contributor role that will work in a variety of settings, providing direct care and support to individuals, families, and groups.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the diagnosis of individuals served and formulate treatment plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Facilitate and coordinate individual, family, and group services to promote holistic well-being.
  • Monitor patient progress and re-evaluate goals to develop a comprehensive plan that addresses their evolving needs.
  • Develop treatment objectives that are included in the treatment plan, ensuring a clear and focused approach.
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based treatment methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and quality improvement activities to stay up-to-date on best practices and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  • Maintain all clinical documentation in a timely manner, adhering to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Licensed/credentialed in the state of employment.
  • At least one year of previous clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, excellent teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
