Job Summary:

The Network Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations and upgrades of an Air Force Remote Piloted Aircraft Operations Center. This position involves installing and configuring network equipment, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the networking team to ensure network administration and performance requirements are met.
  • Develop technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths.
  • Research and ensure network compliance with applicable standards and requirements documents.
  • Plan and provide reasonable responsiveness in terms of network performance, including availability, reliability, and throughput.
  • Prepare activity and progress reports for the Government regarding network performance initiatives.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required, with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS, IP routing protocols, long haul communication transport, network test equipment, and NSA type 1 encryption devices.
  • Current Security+ certification required by DoD 8570.
  • Current TOP SECRET SCI Security Clearance.
  • Solid technical skills and experience with various network protocols, software, and hardware involved in LAN and WAN operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytic, and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
  • C4ISR experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in team environments and superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to physically lift 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior military experience.
  • Experience with MQ-9 operations center networking specifically.
  • Cisco classes or certification(s), familiarity with IP Multicast, Fiber Optic and Copper Cabling Standards, DoD cryptographic equipment (e.g. TACLANE) is a plus.
  • CCNA Certification.
