Assistant Principal, Middle School

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Principal to join our team at Sunnyside School District 201. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the principal in the management of the school, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for students, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the principal in the management of the school, including supervision of staff, students, and facilities.
- Develop and implement instructional programs and activities that promote student learning and achievement.
- Provide leadership and support to teachers and staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with parents, community members, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and promote school success.
- Manage and supervise student attendance, discipline, and behavior.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Master's degree in Educational Administration or related field.
- Washington State Principal certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Washington State teaching certificate with minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Training and ability to utilize clinical supervision.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, program development, evaluation, and effective human relations skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of curriculum alternatives.
- Successful experience and demonstrated interest in working with students and community.
The Assistant Principal will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The position involves frequent interaction with students, staff, parents, and community members, as well as regular attendance at school events and meetings.
The successful candidate will be required to work a standard school day, with occasional evening and weekend events. The position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and to move objects as needed.
