The Perioperative Cardiothoracic-Vascular Procedures Service Line Coordinator is a key member of the UF Health team, responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic-vascular procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of perioperative nursing practices and the ability to educate and train team members associated with the designated specialty.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the daily surgical schedule and ensure seamless execution of procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and materials management facilitators to maintain service line equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Develop and implement training programs for team members to ensure compliance with best practices
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to promote a culture of excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Florida
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CNOR certification within three years of hire (required for new hires and transfers)
- 1-2 years of experience in the operating room
- MSN degree
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.
