Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a foundational understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Unload and organize materials or equipment, confirming proper storage methods.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately locating and packing items.
  • Fulfill customer orders from stock in the warehouse or store.
  • Assist sales personnel in verifying and invoicing delivery orders.
  • Load materials or equipment onto vehicles or prepare them for dispatch.
  • Conduct inventory counts and maintain precise inventory records using computerized systems.
  • Organize products in designated areas to maximize space efficiency.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
  • Help address order discrepancies or customer complaints related to products or shipping.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to company policies.
  • Ensure aisles are clear, shelves are well-maintained, and walkways are free of hazards.
  • Safely operate and care for warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance requirements to management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Provide support to coworkers during busy periods or in their absence.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for independent and team-based work.
  • Capability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Basic computer proficiency for accessing software systems to retrieve product information.
  • Willingness to work a rotating Saturday schedule if required.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to following them.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience with construction tools and equipment is advantageous.
