Night Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is a critical role in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of our hotel operations. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions, providing accounting support to the hotel, and ensuring all revenues are posted to the correct department. You will also be responsible for balancing the guest ledger on a daily basis and completing all necessary reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions
• Provide accounting support to the hotel, including ensuring all revenues are posted to the correct department
• Balance the guest ledger on a daily basis and complete all necessary reports
• Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity
• Address guest complaints, issues, and/or requests in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide reports to management about asset utilization and audit results
• Work proactively to recommend changes in operations and financial activities
• Manage daily paperwork, including occupancy reports, guest lists, cash drawer summaries, balance sheets, account summaries, history files, and housekeeping reports
• May be required to make management decisions in a manager's absence
• Effectively utilize Excel, workbooks, and Access to submit reports to the corporate office as appropriate

Requirements:

• Six (6) months of Front Office experience in a hotel environment
• Prior experience performing basic accounting duties
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid state driver's license and adherence to all company guidelines regarding moving violations (if role involves operating a company vehicle)
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the schedule shift
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
