This Institute encompasses 16 specialized centers and programs dedicated to diagnosing and managing a wide array of heart and vascular ailments, catering to patients of all ages, from newborns to those with complex conditions. Our approach combines compassionate care with innovative research, providing patients with access to groundbreaking therapies. Our faculty and attending physicians possess extensive expertise across various specialties, including transplantation, stem cell therapy, congenital heart issues, women's heart health, valve disorders, arrhythmias, and hypertension.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is entrusted with the responsibility and accountability for implementing the nursing process, overseeing clinical practices, engaging in research activities, providing consultative services, facilitating interdepartmental communication, delivering education, demonstrating leadership, and managing patient care throughout the healthcare continuum—from preventive measures to acute care and discharge.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse in an acute care setting (preferred).
  • Previous experience in cardiac care or cardiac surgery is highly desirable.

Educational/Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the relevant regulatory body.
  • Current Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License in the State of California.
  • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Valid DEA license (schedules 2-5) and NP Furnishing Number.
  • Current ACLS certification.
